Meet The Principal

Hello Tsinaabaas Habitiin Elementary School Families

It is with utmost gratitude that I am given the opportunity to begin my leadership endeavor here at Tsinaabaas Habitiin Elementary School.  I am thrilled to begin the school year with a humbling group of teachers and support staff.  I am excited to meet and be involved with THES families and the community this year.  Our goal this year is to deliver the best possible quality education that your children deserve for the upcoming school year 2017-2018.

Let me introduce myself, I am Kinłichíi’nii (Redhouse Clan), born for Tábąąhá (Edgewater Clan).  My cheii is Tódích’íi’nii (Bitterwater Clan) and my nálí is Lók’aa’ Dine’é (Reed Clan).  I have lived in Tuba City, Arizona my entire life, but was born in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The entirety of my education has been at the Tuba City Unified School District from kindergarten through my senior year at Tuba City High School, where I graduated in 1994.  I graduated from Dine College in 2000, then slowly pursued my Bachelor’s Degree from Northern Arizona University in 2006.  I began my teaching career at Tsinaabaas Habitiin Elementary School from 2006-2009.  I transferred to Tuba City for the remaining part of my teaching career.  I have a total of 11 years of teaching experience under my belt.  In 2014, I decided to pursue my Educational Leadership Degree and graduated, with distinction, from NAU in December 2016.

I have three amazing children, my oldest son is entering his 3rd year at Grand Canyon University majoring in Biology with an emphasis in Pre-Med, my daughter a senior, and youngest son a freshman, both at Tuba City High School.

Lets start this school year with positivity, motivation, and aspiration to be our best!  Go Falcons!!

Kindly,
