XC STATE MEET 2017

On behalf of the Boys and Girls cross country program, I like to thank Administration, Staff, Parents/Guardians, and Student/Athletes for another successful season this year.
Even though we did not capture the state title,  just being in the state meet is an accomplishment for our young men and women who ran this past weekend.

Boys are State Runner Up behind a strong Page High School team, with three of our young men in the All State Division III Team:
14–Demetrius Daw
15–Tristan Antonio
16–Johnson Farrell
Congratulations to the boys team for a well deserved Runner Up!
Team consisted of:
Tristan Antonio, Demetrius Daw, Johnson Daw, Aaron Simien, Isaac Simien, Stephen Talayumptewa, and Kaden Granger.

The girls team gave an awesome effort and placed 10th and although we didn’t have a runner on the All State Team; both Ranetta Jackson and Larissa Yazzie finished in the Top 35.
Very young girls team who will definitely become stronger in the next few years, always a progression towards maturity in running.
Girls team consisted of:  Larissa Yazzie, Ranetta Jackson, Rochelle Jackson, Shaelyn Honahni, Celecia Baca, Camille Secatero, Jasmine Puhuyaoma, and Danielle Tee.

Tristan Antonio, Demetrius Daw, Johnson Farrell, Larissa Yazzie, and Renatta Jackson all have been nominated for Navajo Times All Area Team by Coach Myron.  Results of nomination should be available in the next few weeks in the Navajo Times newspaper.

Again, thank you for all your support and encouragement, the team thrives on community support as well as the support from community of our schools.
